Once in a year, we open our studio's doors. We are 40 artists and this event is a great opportunity to meet people and share ideas about Art. People are very enthousiastic about this week-end. This year, the tv was here and I made an interview. I presented my last work about seats, paintings are on paper, I made the outside come inside. I had good appreciations about that. We had a big barbecue party saturday night, the best party ever in "the whale's belly" !

I went to the theater to see "Oh les beaux jours" de Samuel Beckett.
It was directed by Robert Wilson.
"Oh what a wonderful day it was again!"
I did really enjoy it !

I have been in Yukiko Kawase's gallery to see the exhibition of Matthew.
He is from New York and knows "Apexart" ! We discussed about that and his work.

Yesterday night, in my studio, I organized a painting exhibition group and a performance by Arianne Foks called "Now, I'm gonna be your frog", which she will make it again next week in Berlin. We enjoyed seeing her turning as a frog in the "whale's belly".
For my part, I read a text of Renaud Ego from his last book "Une légende des yeux". It was a great moment to see everybody listening carrefully to this beautiful words.

You can see my own painting called "The crying boy" on the left and the drawings of Arianne Foks in the front.

This is an acrylic painting by Benoît Billoud. It is presented in a light box, and it changes while the night falls down.

Set of Performances and Paintings in my studio

I organize Saturday 26th June 2010 in my studios a set of Performances made by 10 French artists. They will appropriate themselves the amazing space of this factory of seats "Le ventre de la Baleine". A painting group exibition will follow with a cocktail and music. Tonight's artist was Nicolas Ramel www.nicolasramel.com

He is a french artist, studied Art in Edimbourg, Scottland and Paris.

The opening took place in "La Motte-Piquet Grennelle". (a very very chic area, drinks at the bars were very expensive and disgusting) (in Paris, they don't offer drinks anymore for openings or they hide it and keep it for the special guests : it means if you buy something, you drink something. If not, let's die!)
